New trick for ciliary release?

One morning I (half) woke up early turned my red LED alarm clock to check the time (normally I have it facing away from me so there is no light), I was blinking in and out of consciousness. With my eyes closed, and having a vague sense of the red light, I noticed I could feel my eyes relaxing like they were doing active focus. It was wonderful. :relieved:

When I asked about this in discord, @shvm shared this:

What happens of you stare at a red LED alarm clock with your eyes closed in a dark room? Can you feel your ciliary muscles relaxing?
